What do you like about dentistry?

I became a dentist because I like to solve patients’ problems. Many people know me as an analytical, actions-speak-louder-than-words kind of guy. What they may not know is that I get tremendous satisfaction from making a difference in someone’s life. When I am able to help patients who are embarrassed to smile, have a hard time eating, or are in so much pain they have trouble sleeping, I share their happiness and relief. It’s what makes it all worthwhile for me.

How do you use technology to enhance dental care?

Our use of technology is part of our commitment to our patients. Our goal is to identify and address their individual needs. High-tech equipment ensures that we can deliver the care they need.

To diagnose problems, we use technologies such as DIAGNOdent by KaVo, a laser that detects cavities in their early stages, and digital X-rays, which use less radiation than traditional X-rays. To treat patients, we use equipment such as lasers that help eliminate disease-causing infection without painful surgery. We replace teeth with dental implants that are almost as good as the original.

We use technology to communicate. We have computers in each room so that we can access patient information quickly. Small, pen-like intraoral cameras allow patients to see their teeth and tissues so they can better understand what’s going on and what their options are. Patients can use our library of videos to learn more about dental topics.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes, we will accept a patient’s insurance co-payment and file a claim for reimbursement. Insurance plans vary in the treatments they cover and what they pay for each procedure. Ours is a fee-for-service practice, and fees for similar services are the same for all patients, regardless of whether they have insurance. The patient is responsible for the total fee and is expected to make up any shortfall in insurance coverage.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept cash, checks, and debit and credit cards. We also use the CareCredit patient payment program. With CareCredit, you can get the dental treatment you need now and finance it with low monthly payments. There are no upfront costs, annual fees, or prepayment penalties.
